Ranmore...and more

I did a trapping session with David Gardner at Ranmore Common yesterday evening. There was lots of cloud cover, but it was still quite chilly. We trapped up to 23:30 and got just 11 species of macro in that time, a tad dissappointing, but these did include six brand new species for me! (Sorry no photos) The new ones were Least Black Arches (2), Lunar Marbled Brown (2), Cream Wave (1), Water Carpet (3), Frosted Green (2), and a fantastic Scarce Prominent. Also caught 9 Brindled Pug, 3 Clouded Drab, 2 Pale Tussock, 2 Common Quaker, and 1 Early Thorn.

There is a possibility that I might be able to get my hands on a generator some time soon, so maybe I will become a lot more mobile in the near future, very exciting!

Sean Foote.
