A NEW WEBSITE!

As of March 2015, an official website for Surrey Moths has been set-up here. There you'll find information on everything to do with the Surrey Branch of Butterfly Conservation, including the updated events calender for 2015. Hope to see you there!

A Poor NMN- 15th May

It was National Moth Night on Saturday, but the weather wasn't very good for moth trapping. After turning the trap off at 1am, I had caught...

2x Pale Mottled Willow
1x Double-striped Pug
1x Brindled Pug
1x Nut-tree Tussock
1x Epiphyas postvittana
3x Pyrausta aurata (found in the garden earlier on that day)

A pretty poor night, lets hope this weather improves for mothing... although I won't be doing much for the next month due to exams. I'm trusting Ken and Sean to keep the blog full of posts!
